- The movie is just
white (or silent). Make sure to upgrade
to QuickTime 4. The movie will play if you have QuickTime version 3
or later installed. Sound will not be available until Quicktime 4 is installed.
Please also ensure that your sound equipment is properly connected, switched
on, and the volume is not set to '0' or 'off'.
- There's a broken
plug-in icon where the movie should be. Your system is missing one of
the above components, or they are not properly installed. You may need to
reboot after installing. Also, when installing, make sure you select the
browser(s) you wish to have the QuickTime plug-in installed to.
- Movies take a long
time to download. Digital video tends to involve large files. Depending
on your Internet connection and how the movie was made, this may be normal.
- Some movies wait
for a long time with the QuickTime logo showing before the first frame comes
up. The author probably hasn't "streamlined" (flattened and fast start)
the movie. Movies on this site have been streamlined.
